How it works?

Get started in just a few steps

📥 Install the app: All good things start from installing stuff, i think. Install the LockyBot from the Slack app directory into your team.
🪄 Create your first resource: Create your resource after the installation, with @LockyBot new. LockyBot will take care of the rest.
⛏️ Lock away your resource: Once you have the resource, it is just a matter of locking/reserving it with @LockyBot lock the resource for 3 days.

LockyBot provides a range of commands exclusively for your locking purposes

✨ @LockyBot new: Helps you to create a new resource. Opens up a modal for you to provide any other details about the resource.
🧐 @LockyBot list: Gives you the list of resources in your team, with their statuses and when they are due to be released.
🔏 @LockyBot lock: Obviously, you need a way to lock/reserve your resource. This allows you to do that. Specify a resource name and time (or not, the bot will guide you)
🔑 @LockyBot release: If you'd like to release it before your time is up, either because your needs are done (or if your coworkers keep pinging you).
✍️ @LockyBot edit: Allows you to update the resource details. You can update the name, description or reassign it to a different channel for subscriptions.
🙅‍♂️ @LockyBot delete: When a resource has done its purpose and you don't want it lying around and confusing people, you can just chuck it off the system.
